10 Reasons Why Search Engines Do Not Like Your Websites

Online market is on a boom today. People are realizing the potential of switching their business online and hence new websites are developed each. Today, one can find myriad of websites on every single of topic they can think of. When they search for a piece of information in any search engines, some websites always top the list. SEO may be one of the reasons but there is a set other reasons as well that if followed will never lead you the way to the top. So, in order to make the search engines love your website, do not follow any of them.

1- Browser compatibility

It is very important for the success of your website that it is compatible with almost all the browsers available in the market. It was ling back when internet explorer ruled the market. Now is the time when Mozilla Firefox holds a major percentage in the browser business. With the launch of new browsers like Chrome, Opera and Safari the burden on developers have increased a little. Search engines usually reject websites that are not compatible with different browsers.

2- Flash

Using too much of flash content on your page is a blunder but developing your entire website in flash is a blunder. Though using flash content makes your pages visually attractive, but at the same time they increase the page size. The large pages take more time to load that irritates the user and decrease the popularity. At the same time, search engines cannot decipher the content of your flash videos. So even if your page has the most relevant of information, it goes unsearched.

3- iFrames

There was a time when almost all websites were based on a framed structure. They divided the pages into section and managing each of them separately was quite simple. However, when frames are used the search engines are not able to make out the important section and content of your page.

4- Pictures without label

As long as possible one should avoid images as they also make your page bulky. If you cannot avoid its use, make sure you add an appropriate label along with proper tags and description. This will help the web crawlers to clearly understand the image and its purpose.

5- Redundant Content

Content is known as the king of any page. It plays a major role in determining the success of your website. The web crawlers have the ability to decode the time when the content was uploaded. They browse you page for new content and list them if they find it. But if you do not update your website, search engine will stop listing your site.

6- Plagiarism (copy-paste)

Just as the web crawlers browse for new content, in the same way they browse for unique content. Your chances to get listed reduce, if you copy content from some other website. So, instead just pick up an idea and add personal touch to it.

7- Repetitive page titles and meta tags

Whenever one looks for an information on a search engine, the meta tags and page titles of the websites are crawled first before browsing the content. So if all your pages contain the same tags and titles, it is possible that the crawlers may look at only one or two initial pages overlooking the rest.

8- No page titles

It is even worse than using repetitive titles. The titles help the crawlers to go through your pages quickly as per their needs.

9- Keywords

Keywords are another thing that allures search engines. However, make sure that you add a limited amount of keywords. Use varying keywords in limited amounts. An excess of keywords for the same page will also reduce your rank.

10- Irrelevant tags or keywords

Do not add irrelevant keywords; instead you can use phrases from your content. People add irrelevant keywords in meta tags or within page just to improve their SERPs for those keyword to target other ads via AdSense, that is not a good approach and it results Search engine hate.
